With 15+ years of experience and expertise as a former 1st-grade classroom teacher and certified Reading Specialist, I can quickly help close the reading gap. In my experience with 1-1 instruction, I have helped students increase their reading ability by a whole grade level in as little as two months of 1-1 tutoring with them. Most recently, I have been working with a 7-year-old boy who has learned the alphabet and letter sounds in three months of 1-1 work. This typically takes the entire year of kindergarten to accomplish.
The first few years of learning to read build the foundation that will dictate each student’s future academic success. K-3rd grade reading instruction is the most critical time to close reading gaps, or children will not be adequately prepared for academic learning later.

I can promise better results than an impersonal learning center or online curriculum sites that do not provide the direct 1-1 attention your child needs.
